Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and resolve guest concerns.
  • Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience.
  • Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
  • Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
  • Explain how to use Target App features and Wallet; understand Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering and guide guests to enroll and use these features.
  • Handle returns following register prompts and collaborate with leadership as needed while adhering to Target policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers appropriately.
  • Stock supplies during store hours and remain available to assist guests.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pickup (OPU), Drive-Up (DU) orders and DU returns while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws (including adult beverage laws where applicable).
  • Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

  • Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established time frames.
Additional Expectations
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and transactions; support cash office operations as needed.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance as needed.
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
