Hilo Driver

Position Title

Hilo Driver (Merchandise & Load Operations)

The Hilo Driver is responsible for moving merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to customer car doors, tagging orders, and ensuring all required paperwork is completed. The role includes operating forklifts and other equipment, maintaining safety and security, and ensuring accurate loading and unloading.

• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to a customer's car door.
• Tag or mark orders as requested.
• Carefully move product from staging or storage areas into trucks or trailers being loaded.
• Slot move product as necessary and complete supporting paperwork.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently.
• Count inventory, compare manifest, and check inbound shipments for damage, infestation, and correct dates.
• Report shortages, overages, and damage to the appropriate manager.
• Compare quantities, quality, labeling, and consignee address to the customer order to ensure shipments are complete and correct.
• Assist in unloading or loading product moving into or out of the warehouse.
• Participate in physical inventories as required.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas and promote safety.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in a related area (service, production, or support).
• Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment.
• Experience leveraging technology to accomplish daily tasks, including familiarity with MS Office, web navigation, and basic hardware functions.
• Strong oral and written communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly with teammates and business units.
• Initiative to accomplish tasks creatively and with urgency.
• Track record of working independently and safely.

• Consistently required to sit, talk, hear, and sometimes climb, crouch, or crawl.
• Operate equipment using hands and fingers; manually carry and move merchandise.
• Drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
