Senior Quality Engineer – Quality Assurance

We are seeking a proactive and precision‑focused quality engineer to support quality assurance for glass to metal seals in a high‑mix, high‑precision manufacturing environment. This role is instrumental in process validation, root‑cause analysis, continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to validate and analyze dimensional accuracy of parts.
  • Conduct and document First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and internal requirements.
  • Lead or support process validation efforts for new products, tooling, and process changes.
  • Perform thorough root‑cause analysis on nonconformances and quality issues; generate and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, scrap, and variation.
  • Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and systemic issues; collaborate cross‑functionally to implement effective solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, NCRs, and FMEAs.
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001 through documentation, audits, and internal process controls.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and finished assemblies for compliance with specifications.
Skills / Requirements
  • 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or regulated high‑precision manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with glass to metal assemblies, including thermal distortion, shrinkage, and tolerance control.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard.
