First Baptist Church Orange is prayerfully seeking a full time Student Minister to join our staff and lead a Christ-centered ministry for middle school, high school, and college students. We are a growing church in Southeast Texas with a strong commitment to biblical teaching, intentional discipleship, and meaningful relationships.
Our mission is simple and weighty: building a community of disciples who glorify God for generations. We believe student ministry plays a vital role in shaping faith that lasts beyond graduation and into adulthood.
WHO WE AREFBC Orange is a healthy, forward-looking church with an average Sunday attendance of around 600. Our congregation is supportive of student ministry, values deep relationships, and believes the gospel is best shared clearly, faithfully, and compassionately. Our student ministry includes students from numerous local schools as well as homeschool families.
We have a well-established and active student ministry, a spacious and recently refreshed student ministry facility, and a staff culture that is collaborative, encouraging, and eager to try new things in order to present the timeless message of Jesus with clarity and excellence.
THE OPPORTUNITYThe Student Minister will lead and develop a ministry that helps students know Christ, grow in their faith, and live out the gospel in their homes, schools, and community. This role includes teaching Scripture faithfully, discipling students toward spiritual maturity, equipping and empowering volunteers, and partnering closely with parents as primary disciple-makers.
This position is well suited for someone who is relational, mission-minded, emotionally intelligent, and passionate about investing in the next generation. The Kind of Leader We’re Praying For We are seeking someone who:
- Loves Jesus deeply and models a healthy, authentic walk with Christ
- Is committed to teaching God’s Word faithfully and clearly
- Enjoys building relationships with students, parents, volunteers, and staff
- Leads with initiative, humility, and intentionality
- Is comfortable working with teams, technology, and volunteers
- Has experience in student or family ministry; relevant education and training preferred
- Affirms beliefs consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message
You will be joining a staff that genuinely enjoys working together, values trust and collaboration, and believes ministry should be done with purpose and excellence. We sense that God is actively at work in our church, and we are excited about the growth and opportunities ahead.
