Position SummaryProvide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician, ensuring safety and quality through the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. Lead or direct licensed and non‑professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care.
Qualifications- Current LVN or RN license.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions in English.
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner and remain flexible and positive during interruptions.
- Maintain current LVN license.
- Ensure resident safety.
- Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions on the unit.
- Assign nursing tasks appropriate to skill level of staff.
- Maintain acceptable standards of patient care.
- Identify problems and guide personnel to solutions.
- Create a working climate that promotes growth and job satisfaction.
- Implement physicians orders promptly.
- Support infection‑control policies.
- Maintain a professional, confidential approach.
- Cooperate with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.
- Obtain and document comprehensive nursing history.
- Perform basic patient assessment, record vital signs, and pursue further investigation as needed.
- Assess and notify physician and other appropriate parties of changes in patient condition.
- Develop care plans and communicate necessary information to incoming personnel.
- Follow established standards, policies, and procedures in nursing care.
- Accept accountability for clinical care and supervise non‑professional personnel.
- Communicate with patients, families, and health‑care team.
- Perform basic technical nursing skills appropriate to the unit.
- Respond appropriately to urgent or emergency situations.
- Seek guidance for procedures and responsibilities not yet mastered.
- Promote positive public relations with patients and residents.
- Use appropriate communication in sensitive situations.
- Adhere to workplace behavior and dress code.
- Utilize electronic medical record charting (point‑click care).
Ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
