• Install water and sewer taps using hand and power tapping and boring equipment.
• Flush fire hydrants.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and determine extent of damage.
• Operate equipment used in the construction, maintenance, or repair of the City's utility lines.
• Operate motorized vehicles.
• Assist maintenance and operations of water meters, valves, and manholes.
• Locate and repair broken water and sewer lines.
• Perform water meter maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect assigned equipment and document work orders and record work activities.
• Identify, respond to, and resolve customer issues involving policies, procedures, or safety issues.
• Work allocated hours of the position and be available to report for duty on short notice at any hour of the day or night.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

Medical and dental insurance 100% paid by City for the employee;
City pays 90% of dependents medical (for base plan) and dental insurance with employee paying 10%;

Retirement:
Texas Municipal Retirement System 2 to 1 match with employee contributing 7% and City 14%; 12 paid holidays; 15 annual sick days;
After 1 year of employment, 2 weeks of paid vacation and earn longevity pay of $4.00 per month for each year of service;
Educational and Certification Incentive Pay for those who qualify.
