Pay RangeCity provided pay range: $10,000.00/yr - $10,000.00/yr (Base pay range)
Responsibilities- Install water and sewer taps using hand and power tapping and boring equipment.
- Flush fire hydrants.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and determine extent of damage.
- Operate equipment used in the construction, maintenance, or repair of the City's utility lines.
- Operate motorized vehicles.
- Assist maintenance and operations of water meters, valves, and manholes.
- Locate and repair broken water and sewer lines.
- Perform water meter maintenance and repairs.
- Inspect assigned equipment and document work orders and record work activities.
- Identify, respond to, and resolve customer issues involving policies, procedures, or safety issues.
- Work allocated hours of the position and be available to report for duty on short notice at any hour of the day or night.

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
Medical and dental insurance 100% paid by City for the employee;
City pays 90% of dependents medical (for base plan) and dental insurance with employee paying 10%;
Employee covered by $10,000 life insurance policy;
Retirement:
Texas Municipal Retirement System 2 to 1 match with employee contributing 7% and City 14%; 12 paid holidays; 15 annual sick days;
After 1 year of employment, 2 weeks of paid vacation and earn longevity pay of $4.00 per month for each year of service;
Educational and Certification Incentive Pay for those who qualify.
