Dental Hygienist

We believe that everyone deserves access to comprehensive healthcare—including oral health services. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental team.

Position Summary:

The Dental Hygienist will work collaboratively with our dentists and dental support staff to provide preventative and therapeutic dental care to our diverse patient population. This role is key in supporting our mission of improving community oral health and promoting education around dental hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, dental charting, and periodontal screening
• Provide preventative dental care including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
• Take and process digital dental radiographs
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and overall dental health
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to infection control and OSHA regulations
• Collaborate with dentists and other dental team members to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
• Current SCDental Hygienist license in good standing
• Active CPR certification
• Experience working in a community health or public health setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to serving diverse, underserved populations
