South Carolina State University is seeking an exceptional individual to join its esteemed faculty as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics within the College of Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technology. This is a full-time, tenure-track position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level mathematics courses, including calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and other advanced topics.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Conduct research in your area of expertise and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Actively participate in departmental and university service activities, such as committee work and student advising.
- Contribute to the development and growth of the mathematics program.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the collegiate level.
- Strong commitment to research and scholarly activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for mentoring and supporting students from various backgrounds.
