Electrical Engineer III; Communications

McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Telecommunications Engineer III. Hybrid opportunity only available with PE licensure.

* Note:

This position does require a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program, a PE license, and eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.

The McCall-Thomas Telecommunications Engineer III job responsibilities will require the following experience:

• Fiber Network Design
• Fiber Route/Equipment Planning
• Construction/Project Management
• Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Contract Management
• Conference travel and client relations
• FTTP GPON/XGS-PON/NG-PON2 and active ethernet technologies
• Adtran and Calix access equipment
• Fiber testing, specifications and analysis
• OSP, Engineering, and Construction of Fiber Optic Systems supplying residential and broadband services
• RUS specifications and contracts for rural telecommunications or rural electric cooperatives

Required for this role:

• Eligibility to work in the US with no sponsorship requirements (required)
• Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college engineering program (required)
• PE license
• Ability to give technical presentations on various telecommunications subjects
• Understanding of consulting engineering industry
• Proficiency in Engineering and GIS systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
• 5+ years' experience with FTTH design, staking, construction, inspection, contracts
• supervisory experience a plus
