Job Description Summary

The Pharmacy Technician (I, II, III or IV) reports to the Pharmacy Coordinator. Under general supervision, the Pharmacy Technician I supports the drug distribution activities of the Department of Pharmacy Services.

• The Pharmacy Technician (I, II, III or IV) reports to the Pharmacy Coordinator. Under general supervision, the Pharmacy Technician I supports the drug distribution activities of the Department of Pharmacy Services.

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent

Work Experience: 0-6 months

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) is required and must be maintained. Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT):

• Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 1 year of 11/1/2023.
• New Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 6 months of hire.
• New team members who are enrolled or will enroll in a ASHP-accredited and/or PTCB-recognized pharmacy technician training program have 30 days post program completion to obtain certification.
