Skill Requirements:

General Role:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the direct management of production operations, initiating Continuous Improvements to the plant's performance in Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

Job Duties:

• Ensures efficiency of all plant operations during designated shifts by organizing, supervising, and deputizing efficiently.
• Assist in assisting Operations with the presses and ensure they are properly trained.
• Keep and maintain the training records matrix.
• Identify and plan training activities, and maintain a training matrix for all direct reports.
• Review and approve vacation schedules for all direct reports.
• Review schedule and follow up color change/mold changes and insert changes, which is monitoring all set-ups and changeovers to be efficient "Good Piece to Good Piece".
• Provide priority to process technicians, quality leads, forklift operators, and materials handlers.
• Must review Data Entry Production Sheets at the end of each shift and enter them onto the daily shift report that is sent out to management personnel.
• Communicate issues to the next shift supervisor/leader, meaning "No surprises"!
• Must oversee press/work cell set-ups as required (Start-ups).
• Troubleshoot assembly processes.
• Must meet production requirements and specified quantities on each shift.
• Running new product try-outs as required.
• You must follow all company policies & enforce all company policies to all direct reports.
• Assist with Continuous Improvement Projects.
• Perform Layer Process Audit per schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area 5S, following all established plant safety guidelines, ensuring conformance with OSHA/Health & Safety regulations and zero accident goals.
• Oversee and maintain all Manufacturing Procedures.
• Assist Human Resources with disciplinary matters related to attendance, conduct, and job performance, which supports a positive organizational culture through consistency, communication, coaching, counseling, and accountable discipline.
• Make certain area and personnel adhere to QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 processing standards.
• Assist with fire Extinguisher inspections/Report any fire or fire hazard.
• Participating in the First off/Last off process.
• Other duties as required.

English-speaking with bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
