We work closely with packaging converters and packaging machinery manufacturers.

Our dynamic manufacturing team in Orangeburg, S.C. is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Production Technician. Performs machine set‑up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and troubleshoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard. Involved in keeping plant and co‑workers performing in a safe and efficient manner that exceeds customer’s expectation.
Requirements- Creates an environment of teamwork focused on producing quality products.
- Performs inspections per Quality Procedure.
- Cleans machine and area according to schedule.
- Ensures machine Preventive Management is performed according to the schedule.
- Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines and holds self and others accountable.
- Initiates and supports improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as instructed by Supervisor, General Manager and/or Production.
- Maintains open communication with employees and ensures their improvement ideas of operation concerns are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.
- Uses shop tools, hand tools, equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics for troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures.
- Implements 5S activities and follows all procedures.
- Adheres to Personnel Processing Practices in IPO’s Food Safety Plan as determined by the Food Safety Management System.
- Makes “run / don’t run” call with input from General Manager, Supervisor and Quality / Technical. Communicates and works well with others.
- Ensures everyone has the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Has a basic understanding of computers.
- Meets production targets (% performance to production plan).
- Meets Quality targets (number of complaints).
- Meets Safety targets and performs audits on required timelines.
- Meets all Environmental compliance (Air Permits, Waste, Storm Water, etc.).
- Other duties as instructed by Plant Manager, Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
- Has a basic understanding of all machine functions, printing, inks, mounting plates, extrusion, and reading of tape measure.
- Reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Work is of medium difficulty. Shafts can be controlled by the hoist equipment, if available. Ink buckets lifting required on occasion but no more than 40‑50 lbs.
