Position Summary
The Industrial Electrician provides electrical maintenance and troubleshooting support for manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role focuses on quickly identifying and resolving electrical issues to maintain safe and reliable production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on manufacturing equipment and systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems
- Install, modify, and repair wiring, controls, and electrical components according to specifications and codes
- Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify faults and verify system performance
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Document work and retrieve information using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects
- Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards
- Provide shift and weekend coverage as required; may assist with leadership coverage when needed
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment (critical requirement)
- Experience testing electrical systems using meters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and similar tools
- Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and communicate safety concerns effectively
- Comfortable working at heights when required
- Dependable with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be available to work all shifts; training will occur on first shift with eventual assignment to second or third shift
- Overtime is expected, with workload varying based on projects and urgent operational needs
