  • Assist with installation of underground water mains, sewer mains, storm drainage, and related utilities.
  • Perform excavation, trenching, bedding, back filling, compaction, and site restoration activities.
  • Assist with the installation of water and sewer pipe, fittings, valves, manholes, cleanouts, hydrants, and other related structures.
  • Perform connection work and assist with tie-ins to existing utility systems.
  • Assist with sewer and water service installations.
  • Assist with utility locating and verification of existing underground infrastructure.
  • Read and understand construction plans, utility layouts, specifications, and field instructions.
  • Assist with measuring, pipe grades, elevations, and utility alignment.
  • Assist with testing, inspection, flushing, pressure testing, and other required procedures.
  • Identify potential installation issues and communicate them to the Project Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in underground utility, water/sewer, site construction, or related construction work preferred.
  • Experience operating excavators, skid steers, loaders, or other construction equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and utility drawings preferred.
  • Familiarity with water and sewer pipe, fittings, valves, manholes, hydrants, and related underground utilities preferred.
  • Basic understanding of construction grades, elevations, measurements, and utility layouts.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding construction work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in and around trenches.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
