Grade 1 Long-Term Teacher

Position: Grade 1 Long-Term Occasional Teacher
Contribute to student success as a Long-Term Occasional Teacher for SK/Grade 1 at UGDSB's Princess Margaret Public School. This 1.0 FTE position runs from September 2, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

UGDSB is seeking a dedicated educator to fill a temporary vacancy for a Grade 1 classroom at Princess Margaret Public School. As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher, you’ll ensure high-quality education aligns with Ontario Ministry of Education standards. Responsibilities include fostering student well-being and achievement during the regular teacher's absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality education in accordance with Board Policies

• Support and ensure student achievement and well-being

• Maintain a positive learning environment for all students

• Follow lesson plans and adapt as necessary

• Collaborate with staff and engage with the school community

Requirements:

• Certificate of Qualification in Grade 1 teaching

• Two professional supervisory references required

• Experience in classroom management preferred

• Commitment to inclusive education practices

• Familiarity with Ontario educational standards
