French Immersion Special Education Teacher

Become a vital part of the Upper Grand District School Board as a Long Term Occasional French Immersion Special Education Teacher. This 0.1 FTE role at Spencer Avenue Elementary School will empower you to support student achievement effectively.

The UGDSB is hiring for a Long Term Occasional assignment that runs from September 2, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Successful candidates must possess FSL Part 1, Spec Ed Part 1, and Junior or Intermediate qualifications. You will ensure high-quality education in the absence of the regular teacher while adhering to Ontario Ministry of Education standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver continuous education during teacher absences

• Implement individualized support plans for students

• Collaborate with staff to enhance student well-being

• Monitor and assess student performance regularly

• Maintain effective communication with parents and staff

Requirements:

• FSL Part 1, Spec Ed Part 1 certifications

• Qualifications in Junior or Intermediate education

• Vulnerable Sector Check required before employment
