Long Term French Teacher

Position: Long Term Occasional French Teacher
Become a part of the Upper Grand District School Board as a Long Term Occasional Teacher for French Immersion Grade 5/6. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing student learning for English subjects in a supportive environment.

This 0.1 FTE position at Spencer Avenue runs from September 2, 2026, to June 30, 2027. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and ensuring the well-being of students during the temporary absence of the regular teacher. Key skills required include classroom management, effective communication, and an inclusive approach to teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to Grade 5/6 French immersion

• Support and assess student achievement in English subjects

• Collaborate with staff to create a positive learning environment

• Maintain records of student progress and development

• Implement classroom policies in accordance with Board standards

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario teaching certificate with Junior qualifications

• Experience in French immersion teaching preferred

• Strong understanding of Ontario education policies

• Commitment to promoting equity and inclusion

• Original Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
