UGDSB is hiring an Itinerant Teacher on a one-year contract to support hearing-impaired students. This role demands experience in special education and the ability to teach in American Sign Language (ASL). Your responsibilities will include liaising with staff and parents, planning services, and providing leadership in program development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students

• Collaborate with educators and community agencies

• Lead in-services focused on student programming

• Develop and implement tailored educational programs

• Maintain strong, supportive relationships with stakeholders

Requirements:

• Member in good standing with Ontario College of Teachers

• Special Education Part 1 qualification

• Experience teaching in ASL

• Proven success in special education settings

• Valid driver's license for travel between schools
