We are seeking a Machine Operator to operate blow‑mold, grinders, trimmer machines and conveyor systems. The role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to keep the production line running efficiently. The Machine Operator is also required to follow the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- Operate blow‑mold machines (including wheels, reciprocating or shuttle machines) to produce quality bottles and perform audits, weight and quality checks.
- Complete process adjustments – from mold change to start up.
- Adhere to quality control and blow‑mold process procedures.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow‑mold and support equipment.
- Make adjustments to meet product specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance on molds, necks, blow pins and other mechanical components.
- Grind excess bottle and material.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
- Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
- Prepare and document daily production reports including rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Duties may differ by plant based on equipment and plant design.
- Follow instructions from Lead Operator or Supervisor; receive assistance on unusual problems and work is reviewed for professional judgment.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
- Basic computer experience.
- Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Completion of Altium Machine Operator I training within 90 days of hire date.
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work EnvironmentThe employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
