Nurse Practitioner at HART Hub

Join CMHA Peel Dufferin as a Nurse Practitioner at the HART Hub, providing essential mental health and addiction services. Your expertise will empower individuals overcoming addiction and facilitate community-based support.

This permanent part-time position offers 18.75 weekly hours with a focus on integrated community care in Brampton and Orangeville. As a responsible Nurse Practitioner, you will assess clients' needs, provide treatment, and ensure collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Your role will directly contribute to improving the lives of at-risk individuals in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat clients experiencing addictions and concurrent disorders

• Conduct comprehensive symptom-directed health assessments

• Collaborate with physicians and specialists for client care

• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests

• Prescribe medications within your practice scope

Requirements:

• Master's in Nursing; RN-EC in good standing

• Minimum 2 years experience in Mental Health/Addictions

• Completed Controlled Substances Education Program

• Sound knowledge of Mental Health Act and psychotropic medications

• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural competence
