Part Time Driver Trainer

Join First Student as a part-time Driver Trainer in Orangeville, ON, and lead the training of future school bus drivers. Foster a culture of safety and professionalism through classroom and on-the-road training.

This role calls for an experienced driver with a valid Class B license and a minimum of three years of school bus or commercial driving experience. You will deliver critical training to new and existing drivers, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing overall driver performance. Mentoring and coaching new drivers will be key to building their confidence and ensuring safety on the roads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver classroom and on-the-road training to new drivers

• Provide refresher and remedial training as needed

• Support onboarding and the driver candidate pipeline

• Evaluate driver performance and maintain training records

• Coach drivers on safe driving practices and compliance

Requirements:

• Valid Class B license with endorsements

• Minimum three years of driving experience

• Clean driver abstract in past three years

• Strong communication and mentoring skills

• Ability to work independently and maintain attendance
