FAFSA Lab Assistant [Federal Work Study Pool]
Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire a FAFSA Lab Assistant position. This is a part‑time, student, federal work study, non‑exempt, and non‑benefits‑eligible position. We are looking for candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including those from less traditional pathways. We welcome applicants who bring diversity of identity, culture, experience, perspective, and thought.
This is a part‑time federal work study pool posting for available assignments during the academic year 2025‑2026. Applications are considered throughout the year and reviewed based on department need. Program Description SummaryThe Work‑Study program at Clackamas Community College is a federal financial aid program that provides CCC students with part‑time, temporary employment to offset college expenses.
To apply, students must have accepted a current Award Letter/funding and have contacted workstudy for prior approval.
Job Description SummaryFAFSA Lab Assistant will work under the direction of the Financial Aid Coordinator to provide guidance to students and the public seeking assistance with financial aid paperwork and processes in the FAFSA Lab.
Essential Job Functions- Assist students and the public in completing the financial aid application process, including various paperwork, online processes, and potential referrals to alternate resources.
- Assist in keeping the office neat and orderly, and in miscellaneous office projects and event planning as they arise.
- Must be trustworthy and independently responsible.
- Must have good people skills and be able to professionally assist visitors to the office.
- Must be efficient and comfortable using a personal computer to generate documents, access files, and browse internet pages.
- Must have a basic understanding of financial aid and be excited to learn more about the research, processes, and procedures pertaining to financial aid.
- Ability to exemplify traits that reflect the College’s culture, including integrity, a customer service orientation, cultural competency, trustworthiness, flexibility, and a willingness to change.

Terms of Employment- All positions at CCC are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college and may include evenings and/or weekends.

- CCC employees must reside within 50 miles of Oregon City, Harmony, or Wilsonville campus as a condition of employment.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States must be provided if selected for hire.
