Respiratory Therapist - PRN (Healthcare)

Receive and follow schedules and instructions from your supervisor, adhering to established policies and procedures of the facility. Conduct focused interviews to identify patient needs, assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes, and collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members. Develop care plans and perform interventions according to priorities, policies, and expected outcomes.

Follow emergency, safety, and infection control protocols. Promote good communication and report patient status changes to appropriate personnel. Develop rapport with interdepartmental staff and maintain confidentiality of patient information, reporting any suspected violations.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

• Associate Degree from an accredited school; respiratory care program graduate required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of respiratory experience in acute/subacute settings preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license, CPR/BLS, and ACLS certifications required.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical and regulatory documents.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Problem-solving and interpretative skills for practical situations.

Must occasionally lift/move up to 30 pounds, and perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, and reading. May assist in emergency evacuations.

Low to moderate noise levels, with accommodations available for disabilities.
