Pay Range: $44.67 – $69.35 per hour (base)
Additional Compensation: shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, bonus opportunities.
Responsibilities• Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician orders, utilizing various complex ultrasound equipment.
• Objectively identifies presence or absence of disease using thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Assists physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, trans‑esophageal echocardiography, trans‑catheter echo‑guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo‑guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast‑enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography.
• Modifies procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information cost‑effectively.
• Complies with standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies.

National Registered Cardiac Sonographer – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (or) - Upon hire:
National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (or) - Upon hire:
National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Upon hire:
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
- Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE‑accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- 1 year experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations (or)
- Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available
- Pediatric echocardiography experience
- Familiarity with imaging support for advanced heart‑failure patients (mechanical support devices)
- Experience with echo‑guided trans‑catheter procedures (e.g., cent Medical Center)
