Effective February 1, 2026, the Oregon Judicial Department will implement a cost-of-living salary increase of 2.5%.

Benefits to you
  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $26.82 - $41.61. [OR The annual salary for this position is $55,788 - $86,544.]

  • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!
  • In this job profile, we offer candidates new to OJD up to the third step of the salary range, depending on experience. You are potentially eligible for a 5% annual increase.

Oregon City, Oregon rests on the Willamette River southeast of Portland. It is part of the Portland Metropolitan Area (along with Beaverton, Gresham, Hillsboro, and Vancouver, WA). The Clackamas County Circuit Court is hiring a Judicial Assistant for the Honorable Michelle Bartov (Court Operations Specialist).

In this role…

Much of your day is spent providing moderate-to-complex clerical support to the judge. You will fully maintain the judge’s schedule, organize the assembled materials, notify parties, and schedule and coordinate court appearances and meetings. You will also track case status assigned to the judge and perform data gathering or limited legal research about cases. You are expected to assist attorneys and the public regarding all courtroom operations.

Additionally, you will prepare and processes a variety of court documents requiring a broad knowledge of court operations and legal terminology and format. This includes, but is not limited to, judicial correspondence, memoranda, reports, and legal documents such as court orders, opinions, and instructions. You are expected to review for accuracy and completeness and scan such documents in the court’s internal software system.
