- Lead a specialized sales team to drive customer adoption and sales of Informatics products
- Mentor and motivate team members to exceed sales targets while collaborating with internal stakeholders
- Ensure accurate reporting of sales pipeline, opportunities, and forecasts
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, academic institutions, and thought leaders
- Represent the employer at industry events and conferences to promote the Informatics portfolio
- 15+ years of relevant experience in software within the genomics, healthcare, or life sciences industry, including at least 10 years in sales and 5 years in sales management
- Strong knowledge of genomics sequencing workflows and applications
- Understanding of DNA/RNA sequencing applications and related data formats
- Proven success in leading a sales team and achieving growth in a matrixed environment
- Must be located near a major airport and willing to travel up to 50%
- Educational background in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry; a Master's or PhD is highly desired
- Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills
- Data-driven analytical mindset with strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in cloud services and providers for genomics
- Ability to articulate a clear and inspirational vision
