Job Overview

Kroes Northwest is seeking a highly experienced and hands‑on Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and industrial projects. This role is perfect for a leader who sees problems before they happen, holds high standards of quality, and owns outcomes—good or bad. You’ll manage concrete crews, plan and execute pours, enforce safety, and drive performance. Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all concrete activities from layout to the final finish.
  • Review drawings/specs and identify issues proactively.
  • Coordinate inspections, rebar, mix design, pump trucks, finishers, and testing.
  • Ensure quality workmanship in all phases of concrete work.
Leadership & Crew Management
  • Supervise and mentor foremen and field crews.
  • Set expectations for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Foster a respectful and high‑performance jobsite culture.
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce all OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Conduct safety meetings and pre‑task planning.
  • Address unsafe behaviors immediately.
Scheduling & Coordination
  • Create look‑ahead schedules for concrete scopes.
  • Coordinate with PMs, other trades, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Communicate schedule impacts and adjust manpower as needed.
Cost Control & Reporting
  • Track labor, equipment, and materials vs. budget.
  • Support documentation, field reports, and change order input.
  • Forecast needs and flag potential overruns early.
Quality Control
  • Enforce quality expectations on formwork, rebar, embeds, and finishes.
  • Verify dimensions, slopes, and tolerances before pours.
  • Identify and correct deficiencies proactively.
Qualifications

Required:
  • 5–10 years concrete construction experience.
  • 3+ years in a superintendent or foreman role.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete methods, sequencing, and crew management.
  • Proficient reading drawings, specs, and schedules.
  • Clear communicator with strong leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
  • Experience with commercial, industrial, or agricultural projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Familiarity with Procore and Teamgantt.
  • Skilled in equipment operation (telehandlers, skid steers, excavators).
  • Experience leading multiple crews/projects.
  • Comfortable with tablets and construction software.

Schedule

Full-Time

Monday – Friday

Early morning availability and occasional extended hours depending on project needs.

Location

Onsite across commercial and industrial projects throughout the region.
