This role is essential to ensuring the smooth and precise application of asphalt on various public and private projects throughout the Portland metro area. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating screeds, pavers, and rollers, as well as a strong understanding of asphalt construction techniques.

Key Responsibilities- Operate asphalt equipment including screeds, pavers, and rollers with precision.
- Ensure consistent application and compaction of asphalt per project specifications.
- Work closely with crew members to maintain a safe, efficient, and collaborative jobsite.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑operation checks on equipment.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and other team members.
- Contribute to jobsite cleanup and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the paving industry, including operation of screeds, pavers, and rollers.
- CDL A is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Positive, safety‑first attitude.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
