This specialized cardiovascular care facility maintains the clinical resources and established protocols necessary to support comprehensive inpatient interventional cardiology services on an on-site basis. The facility offers advanced diagnostic testing, cardiac treatment, and ongoing cardiac care, structured to accommodate 24-hour call coverage. A fully staffed office with medical assistant support is in place to assist clinicians throughout each assigned coverage period.

The region surrounding this assignment is defined by its waterways and natural landscapes, offering clinicians a range of outdoor pursuits during time away from clinical responsibilities. Activities include chartered fishing for halibut and king salmon, float plane sightseeing over glaciers, bear watching, and trout and fly fishing accessible from private lodges along the river. The area is known for extended daylight hours, providing ample opportunity to engage with its natural environment across a full range of seasonal activities.

Clinicians will provide inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on a 24-hour call basis, with shifts structured from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, covering 10-15 shifts per month for STEMI and general cardiology call. Clinical responsibilities include managing STEMI cases, performing coronary angiograms, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), right and left heart catheterizations, and other cardiac procedures as credentialed, as well as following patients through sign-off.

General cardiology coverage includes 1-5 inpatient consultations per day. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and clinicians must maintain continuous availability to respond to inpatient cardiac cases throughout each designated coverage period.
