We are particularly interested in applicants with research and teaching interests in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity
, but exceptional candidates in all areas of Computer Science will be considered. New faculty will join a vibrant department with active research clusters in algorithms, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, computer networking, computer vision, graphics and Virtual Reality, high‑performance computing, human‑computer interaction, cyber security and privacy.
Faculty members are expected to establish and sustain nationally or internationally recognized research programs, and to contribute to a diverse and dynamic curriculum at both undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
The department currently offers a Ph.D. in Computer Science, M.S. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Bioinformatics, and B.S. programs in Computer Science and Data Science. Faculty and students engage with strong institutional partners across campus, including the School of Medicine, the Chaifetz School of Business, the Taylor Geospatial Institute, as well as initiatives in innovation and entrepreneurship such as KEEN.
