Five VoTech is an Oregon BOLI certified, pre-apprenticeship, career exploration program providing students with a start toward a new life in a family-wage career. With hands‑on, project based learning, and vital life skills training, 71
Five VoTech offers real world experiences combined with personal support to advance students toward accomplishing their personal goals. 71
Five VoTech serves young people ages 16 – 24 regardless of race, creed, or gender.
Five VoTech Includes:
Class Schedules
- Full training is offered over 2 segments of 6 weeks each.
- Fundamentals (a general introduction to the program and working in the shop)
- Track (training focused on a chosen career field)
- New classes begin throughout the year.
- Classes are offered at various times on various days to fit personal schedules.
- Call for up-to-date information.
- Classes are normally 2 days a week, 3.5 hours per day.
Basic training is offered to prepare a student to be ‘APPRENTICE READY’ in:
Auto Repair, Small Engine Repair, Welding & Steel Fabrication, Electrician, Woodworking, and Construction.
We have a limited amount of space to provide temporary housing for males ages 18 through 24 while they are participating in the 71

Five VoTech Coordinator is responsible for the running of the VoTech training center under the direction of the 71
Five VoTech Director. Youth 71
Five Ministries’ Mission is the sharing of God’s story with young people through trusting relationships in any relevant way. That relevant way includes training of skills valuable for life and employment. The coordinator will be part of the training in the areas of construction, automotive, and welding. Work to be visible and active in your community; speaking at churches, civic clubs, agencies, etc.

Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and support of a committed team of volunteer trainers and staff to provide skills training and personal mentoring to the youth being served in the VoTech Program. Oversee with the maintenance of accurate records of youth participation and program activities. Clean, organize, and maintain all shop spaces and tools. Resource the materials and equipment needed to train young people.
