Responsibilities- Perform detailed mechanical calculations and analytical analyses in line with customer requirements and schedules.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA), including static and fatigue analysis, to support product development and validation.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers throughout the iterative design process to optimize product performance and efficiency.
- Develop and document comprehensive technical notes and reports summarizing analysis methods, assumptions, and results.
- Present technical analysis findings and support discussions with customers or stakeholders as required.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards and technical specifications.
- Contribute to research, technology, and innovation projects when possible.
- Occasional trips to suppliers, factories, and aircraft manufacturers in the United States, France, and abroad.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for presenting technical information to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong time‑management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Prior professional experience is valued but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of fatigue analysis principles, static load assessments, damage tolerance, and strength of materials (RDM).
- Proven experience in mechanical stress analysis, both analytical and FEA‑based.
- Proficiency with FEA software tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran.
- Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA, Solid Works or equivalent.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for forged, cast, machined, and heat‑treated components.
- Technical documentation skills for drafting reports and justification documents to meet certification requirements.
- ITAR‑controlled position: requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
