We’re looking for a Senior Estimator – Electrical Construction to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in shaping winning bids for large-scale electrical projects. In this position, you’ll collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to deliver accurate, competitive proposals that drive success. WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead Estimation Efforts:
Review plans, specs, and bid documents to create comprehensive proposals. - Drive Accuracy:
Perform electrical take-offs using Accubid and validate measurements and quantities. - Collaborate & Negotiate:
Communicate with clients to clarify scope, resolve deficiencies, and negotiate pricing. - Optimize Costs:
Identify value engineering opportunities and job-specific conditions affecting labor and materials. - Manage Vendors:
Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for alignment with project requirements. - Ensure Quality:
Detect inconsistencies in bid documents and propose proactive solutions. - Mentor & Train:
Assist in developing junior estimators and review their work for accuracy. - Stay Ahead:
Track market pricing, competitor activity, and industry trends. - Lead Meetings:
Coordinate bid closure sessions and present bid status at kickoff and closeout meetings.
- Experience:
- Proven track record in electrical estimating and construction management.
- Experience handling large electrical scopes (up to $30M).
- Technical
Skills:- Proficiency in Accubid and familiarity with Bluebeam.
- Strong math skills (geometry, trigonometry, statistical concepts).
- Tools & Software:
- Viewpoint bid tracking and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and construction methods.
- Expertise in bidding and estimation processes.
- Work on high-value projects in advanced technology and industrial sectors.

This is a Permanent position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ - $/yr.
