What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Advise on all aspects of project financing, including tax equity and debt financing
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements and financing documents
  • Structure and negotiate residential solar fund transactions and related documents
  • Provide legal guidance on capital raises, joint ventures, and risk management strategies
  • Liaise with external counsel, lenders, and regulatory bodies to facilitate transactions
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 7 years of legal experience focused on project finance and energy transactions
  • Strong knowledge of debt and equity financing structures, particularly in renewable energy
  • Experience in negotiating complex project agreements and financing documents
  • Understanding of FERC, IRS, DOE, and state-level energy regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Law firm and/or in-house experience preferred
  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of project finance modeling
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Experience providing internal training on project finance best practices
