Financial Reporting Manager

Lead Recruiter – Professional Services at Motus Recruiting and Staffing, Inc.

Contract position (3+ months) at Sherwood, Oregon – Hybrid (2 days onsite per week). Pay: $82.00 – $92.00/hr, DOE.

Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to support financial reporting, SEC filings, and compliance activities during a period of increased reporting demands. This role will ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements and regulatory filings while partnering closely with cross‑functional stakeholders.

• Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, and 11‑K.
• Review consolidated financial statements and supporting accounting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate cross‑functional reviews of SEC filings in partnership with Accounting, Finance, Investor Relations, and Legal/Corporate Secretary teams.
• Monitor and evaluate new accounting guidance and disclosure requirements; ensure timely implementation.
• Support the monthly close process by contributing to the development and review of reporting packages used by senior leadership and the Finance Committee.
• Oversee SOX‑related internal controls and documentation to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Research, document, and resolve technical accounting issues.
• Assist with preparation and review of the Proxy Statement.
• Oversee financial reporting for subsidiary entities.
• Support preparation of select regulatory filings, including designated sections of FERC Form 2.
• Prepare and review ad‑hoc management and executive‑level reporting as needed.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert for external audit preparation, including audit support and data requests.
• Act as a technical resource and advisor to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in special projects and other reporting initiatives as assigned.

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related field, including hands‑on SEC reporting experience.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, SEC reporting, and consolidated financial statements.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience researching and applying technical accounting guidance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate complex information clearly.
• Prior leadership or oversight experience within a financial reporting or accounting function preferred.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
