Job DescriptionPharmacy Technician
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support oncology pharmacy operations, specifically in a new Oncology Center.
Responsibilities- Prepare and handle hazardous medications in compliance with USP standards.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and the oncology care team.
- Support oncology pharmacy operations effectively.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license.
- Recent experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Experience with USP hazardous drug handling and compounding.
- Oncology pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Experience in compounding chemotherapy and other hazardous medications is preferred.
- Able to work independently in a rural healthcare setting.
- Experience in an oncology infusion center or hospital oncology pharmacy.
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems, electronic health records, and compounding software.
- Experience supporting chemotherapy treatment workflows.
The role primarily involves 8-hour day shifts, with variable weekend coverage responsibilities.
Compliance InformationAll onboarding requirements must be completed a minimum of two weeks prior to the start date.
