Tax Accountant - Public Accounting

Overview

Legado Talent is seeking a Tax Accountant to join a fast-growing public accounting firm in Portland. The role focuses on preparing tax returns for S Corporations and Partnerships and provides exposure to other entity types and high‑net‑worth individuals.

$70,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for S Corporations, Partnerships, and other entities
• Assist with tax planning, research, and compliance matters
• Review client financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support engagement schedules, timelines, and deliverables to meet deadlines
• Communicate directly with clients regarding documentation needs, inquiries, and updates
• Collaborate with internal team members across multiple engagements

• 1–3+ years of public accounting and tax preparation experience
• Experience with entity-level tax returns, including pass‑through taxation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client‑service mindset
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency with accounting and tax software applications
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance standards
