We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Reviewer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and finalizing tax returns prepared by our team of tax preparers, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining accuracy, mitigating risks, and delivering high-quality service to our clients.
- Thoroughly review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Identify discrepancies, errors, or areas of improvement in prepared returns, and communicate necessary adjustments to preparers.
- Provide guidance and support to tax preparers on complex tax issues and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and informed reviews.
- Collaborate with the tax preparation team to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Communicate directly with clients when necessary to clarify tax-related matters or obtain additional information.
- Assist in the training and development of junior tax staff.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and review.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Quick Books, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
