Talent Acquisition Manager at Forest City Trading Group

Founded in 1964, American International Forest Products (AIFP) is part of Forest City Trading Group, one of the largest suppliers of forest products in North America. With AIFP/AR annual sales exceeding $500 million since 2022 and corporate-wide sales topping $4 billion, we’re a major player in the North American wood products industry.

At AIFP, we take pride in a team-oriented culture that’s positive, resilient, and proactive in the markets we serve. Our “work hard, play hard” mentality supports true work-life balance — reflected in our impressive average employee tenure of 17 years. The result is an energetic, growth-focused environment where people genuinely love what they do.

We’re seeking a hands‑on Credit Manager with experience in manufacturing, distribution, or trading. The ideal candidate will know how to assess risk, manage receivables, and strengthen internal processes to keep operations running smoothly. This leadership role will own credit strategy and policy development while partnering closely with sales and leadership teams. Strong financial analysis and A/R reporting skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and verify the financial status and creditworthiness of new and existing customers
  • Oversee daily functions of the credit department, including collections, credit applications and annual customer reviews
  • Set credit limits, process applications, and make approval or denial decisions based on company guidelines
  • Communicate credit decisions and findings to Traders and management, ensuring alignment across teams
  • Monitor and follow up on delinquent accounts, pursuing payment and maintaining detailed account records
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other FCTG subsidiaries/affiliates to share credit insights and mitigate overall risk
Education and/or

Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management preferred, but not required
  • Credit Business Associate (CBA) designation with NACM (National Association of Credit Management) preferred, but not required
  • At least 5–7 years of prior credit/collections experience required
  • Knowledge of credit insurance and the Bectran online application software is beneficial
  • Ability to problem solve, organize, prioritize, multi-task, manage time and take direction

This is an in‑office position, requiring work in the office. AIFP/Affiliated Resources is an equal opportunity employer.
