Position Summary:

A leading electric utility provider is seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Operations Manager to support its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) operations across Oregon.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 2–4 years of T&D experience looking to grow into a leadership role within a well-established and respected organization.

The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the senior operations team to ensure efficient project execution, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across a range of substation and line projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day operational oversight for multiple T&D construction and maintenance projects
• Coordinate with field crews, contractors, and internal departments to ensure project milestones and safety standards are met
• Assist with scheduling, resource allocation, material logistics, and project tracking
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), costs, and field productivity
• Help ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and operational policies
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and team efficiency
• Serve as a point of contact for field support, troubleshooting, and status updates

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution, utility construction, or operations
• Familiarity with line and/or substation construction standards and practices
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to coordinate multiple work streams
• Working knowledge of project management or scheduling software
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the state as needed
