Salary range: $72,485 – $90,607

As an associate asset management project manager at HDC, you will…

- High proficiency with Windows-based word processing and spreadsheet software
- Strong written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
- Excellent project management skills, including scheduling and coordinating complex tasks
- Meet essential physical and administrative requirements:
- Willingness to travel to in-person meetings, primarily in the Portland-metro area
- Access to transportation required for work-related activities
- If driving for work, maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Oregon’s minimum auto insurance requirements
Asset Management responsibilities
- Assist HDC’s asset management team with providing consulting services, technical assistance, and data analysis to nonprofit affordable housing owners. The asset management team provides services in the following areas:
- Financial review and property performance analysis
- Property restructuring and repositioning options
- Development of asset management systems and policies
- Guidance for property management oversight
- Recommendations for improvements to compliance and capital planning systems
- Analyze information related to property performance and assist owners in developing strategies for property-level and portfolio-wide needs
- Assist the director of asset management and senior project managers in seeking new business and grant opportunities
- Research and create tools and systems to promote asset management best practices
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback and support
- Other duties as assigned
RLRA Risk Mitigation Program and Portland Housing Bureau’s Risk Mitigation Pool:
- Process RMP claim requests: review submissions, track costs, and communicate with claimants
- Support HDC senior asset management staff in providing administrative services for both programs, including program development and contract oversight
- Facilitate advisory committees for both programs, including gathering feedback and drafting recommendations
- Provide program trainings and work sessions for participating property owners and service providers

- Two years of experience in project management, property management, asset management, real estate, housing policy, or a related field; OR a graduate degree, bachelor’s degree, or completion of a certification program in a related field
- Affordable housing property management or asset management experience
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with affordable housing policies and programs
- Experience with financial and property management software
- Experience as a technical assistance provider or program manager in the nonprofit or public sector
