We are looking for a Production Planner to join our team in United States.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:- Prepares work orders for factory by assuring engineering documents and routes are prepared. Reviews Bill of Material requirements, checks materials on‑hand, and creates requisitions for shortages.
- Serves as production Planner for two to three product lines.
- Purchases items set up on blanket orders; performs inventory planning for necessary safety‐stock items and assures purchased items arrive on time to meet schedules.
- Maintains and prepares manufacturing status reports and charts according to established production goals; serves as Engineering Change Coordinator.
- Releases work orders to factory based on Master Schedule dates, lead‑time of components, and shop capacity; monitors progress, establishes priorities for work centers and departments, reports schedule deviations, and initiates recovery plans.
- Expedites suppliers for materials and data needed to meet Master Schedule due dates.
- Initiates subcontract work, when necessary, to meet Master Schedule completion dates; evaluates load versus capacity to identify and act on overload situations.
- Coordinates with QE on rework, repair and warranty work in plant.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Associate degree minimum educational requirement or 5 to 7 years of experience in a production planner role.
- SAP knowledge preferred or use of a similar ERP system.
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience in an engineer‑to‑order environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
- Sense of urgency to meet schedules.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, required.
