Athletic Field Maintenance is seeking candidates that have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to serving others. Dedicated to the maintenance and management of City of Raleigh athletic fields, the Athletic Field Maintenance Worker is a member of a team to implement professional maintenance standards and procedures involving park maintenance.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position in Athletic Field Maintenance will have a passion for exceptional customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards for athletic field upkeep. They will be dedicated to working collaboratively as part of a team to ensure proper maintenance of City of Raleigh athletic fields, including tasks such as grooming, painting, and setting up facilities for games, practices, and tournaments.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to perform physical labor, operate maintenance equipment, and follow safety and maintenance protocols. They should also be skilled in basic computer operations and have the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is seeking candidates that align with the City's values, is team-oriented and a leader with passion and vision for parks and serving the community.
Work Hours:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with a potential summer schedule, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and one year of maintenance or customer service experience related to assignment
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Licensing and Certifications:
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to operate standard grounds maintenance equipment.
