Position Title: Highway Maintenance Worker/Truck Driver
Department: Ogle County Highway Department
Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt / Union Position
Hourly Wage: $27.94 to $31.44 depending on qualifications
Reports To: Ogle County Engineer
Location: Oregon, Illinois

The Ogle County Highway Department is looking for a full-time Truck Driver.

• Operation of large trucks used to haul various materials used in the construction and maintenance of the County highway system.
• Snow and ice removal from the County highway system.
• Tractor operation for roadside mowing, sweeping, shoulder maintenance, etc.
• Hand labor required to maintain bridges and roadways.
• Culvert and ditch maintenance.
• Possible operation of heavy equipment such as excavator, end loader, motor-grader, roller, skid loader or backhoe.

• High School Diploma
• Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B with Full Air Brakes (No Restriction)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work.
• Must comply with the County's Drug and Alcohol Policy.
• Successful completion of a background check.

• Hourly Wage of $27.94 to 31.44 per hour, depending on qualifications.

• Shift (Regular):
  Monday-Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
• Shift (Summer):
  Monday-Thursday, 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
