What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Serve as the legal liaison to organizational units and senior executives on legal and administrative matters
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to staff members, including the Executive Team
  • Manage outside counsel and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Interact with funding, government, and regulatory agencies to represent organizational interests
  • Support legal, management, and risk assessment activities across the organization
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Juris Doctor or its International Equivalent from a recognized school of law
  • Typically requires 7+ years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or organization, including 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Validated legal expertise in two or more relevant areas, including corporate governance and data privacy
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Must be fluent in English, able to read, write, and speak effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Prior in‑house legal department experience
  • Experience in international development or clinical research facilitation
  • Proven ability to lead multiple priorities in a complex environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Familiarity with legal compliance and risk management practices
