UK QHSE Manager - Multi Site

This role is key to ensuring quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance across multiple UK sites, including high‑risk operational environments.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage all aspects of QHSE compliance across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to legislation, ISO standards, internal policies, and best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain health & safety strategies, policies, procedures, and systems aligned with UK legislation and industry best practice.
- Conduct regular site visits, audits, and inspections; lead incident investigations and root‑cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, leading internal and external audits and managing certification processes.
- Develop and implement environmental management practices and oversee waste management processes.
- Ensure delivery of QHSE training, including induction, manual handling, COSHH, fire safety, and first aid.
- Maintain accurate records, provide monthly and quarterly QHSE performance reports to senior management.
- Travel regularly across sites and meet customers 2–3 times a month.
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years’ QHSE management experience in multi‑site, operationally complex or high‑risk environments.
- NEBOSH Environmental Certificate and IOSH Chartered Member (CMIOSH) or working toward is highly desirable.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in QHSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Demonstrable experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards.
- Proven track record conducting HSE gap analyses, audits, and improvement programmes.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, guidance, and industry best practices.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- IT skills in Microsoft Office and QHSE platforms/systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influence skills; strong autonomy, attention to detail, and results‑focused.
The role can be based in London or Poole, UK.
