The RoleThe Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications and Content Strategy will develop, implement, and integrate Work Money’s communications, digital content strategy, and earned media initiatives. This senior leader will set the overarching vision for how Work Money communicates with its members, the media, and external stakeholders, ensuring consistency, impact, and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. The SVP will also build and manage a high-performing team and serve as a senior advisor on brand strategy and strategic communications to the Chief Marketing Officer and the executive team.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision: Bring Work Money’s mission to life through powerful storytelling and campaigns across all channels that inspire people to believe that financial stability should be accessible for everyone and to join us in fighting for a more just and equitable economic landscape. Design, champion, and execute a fully integrated communications and content strategy that advances Work Money’s mission, drives member trust and engagement, and elevates the organization's public profile.
- Digital Content Strategy Oversight: Direct the development and execution of the digital content strategy across channels (website, blog, social media), ensuring content is compelling, relevant, on-brand, and optimized for SEO, user experience, and conversion funnels.
- Integrated Campaigns: Lead integrated campaigns that leverage our earned and owned channels to support Work Money’s goals. Work closely with the engagement team and media team to ensure a cross-functional approach that leverages all of the tools in our toolbox and prioritizes outcomes based on our organizational needs and the crowded landscape.
- Communications & Earned Media Ownership: Lead and drive the proactive and reactive communications functions, managing external communications partners, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Serve as a key organizational advisor on high-stakes public relations and earned media opportunities.
- Brand Communications: Develop clear, consistent, and relevant brand communications guidance for our team across Work Money to define, articulate, and distinguish our brand, our tools, and programs for each of our priority audiences as informed by our research and insights. Monitor and support strict adherence to brand and message guidance across the organization.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing team responsible for content campaigns and communications. Establish clear goals and performance expectations to foster a culture of excellence and accountability. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship.
