- Arrive at work well-rested and prepared, prioritizing safety at all times
- Efficiently dry lumber using computer-controlled kilns
- Perform all duties associated with the Big Lift Operator role
- Operate the 950 equipment to maneuver kiln charges
- Continuously monitor kilns, flash tanks, and condensate tanks
- Manage the flow of lumber on both the green and dry pads
- Maintain clear communication with the Sawmill and Planer departments
- Conduct daily quality checks for the Stacker, Charge Building, and Yard
- Deliver a high-quality product to downstream customers
- Understand and meet throughput expectations
- Perform daily sampling and moisture content testing
- Exhibit self-motivation and initiative
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team
- 3–5 years of kiln operation experience
- Strong understanding of wood properties as they relate to drying processes
- Basic knowledge of kiln maintenance
- Excellent communication skills
