General Laborer - Packaging

Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, the Packaging General Laborer will assist in all aspects of packaging, including operating equipment, cleaning, inspecting finished products, and ensuring accurate weights.

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, read safety and operating manuals, and stand for up to 10 hours per day. Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Dependability, teamwork, good communication, and PPE usage are essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Weighing products to verify specifications.
• Sorting materials for processing, storage, or shipping.
• Clearing equipment jams and notifying maintenance.
• Monitoring equipment to prevent flaws and malfunctions.
• Packaging products for storage or shipment.
• Inspecting packaging for proper fill and security.
• Moving materials and supplies as needed.
• Cleaning facilities and equipment.
• Following safety and GMP protocols.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 to 6 months of experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, and lift frequently.

This is an entry-level, temporary position in the Food and Beverage Services industry.
